Vision and Mission

Our VISION is to provide a rich and thoroughly up to date Catholic primary education with a ‘family atmosphere’ where everyone feels they have a valuable contribution to make.  In doing this we hope to bring the Joy of the Gospel into the lives of our children, whilst fully preparing them educationally and spiritually for all that lies ahead in their lives.

Our MISSION is to:

  • PROMOTE self-discipline, with children being supported and encouraged to be responsible for their own achievements, actions and efforts.
  • ENCOURAGE effort, hard work and excellence at all levels in the development of the highest standards of both attitude and performance.
  • OPTIMISE the co-operative, supportive relationships between staff, pupils, governors, parents and the wider community.
  • PROVIDE and plan for differentiated learning enabling all pupils to feel they are being given an equal opportunity to develop their potential.
  • LOOK for opportunities for first hand experience and concrete starting points, to enable the children to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of our diverse world.
  • ENSURE that children are responsible for their own independent work and motivation and are able to choose appropriate materials and strategies to enhance their learning.

  • PLAN, teach and work in a cross - curricular, thematic and skills based way in which continuity and progression are a vital feature and consistently applied across the school.
  • LEAD by example, knowing that our role models are JESUS CHRIST and the Holy Family.
  • ACTIVELY ensure that planning takes account of the National Curriculum, ‘Here I Am’ Programmes of Study and a relevant Education for Personal Relationships Framework.
  • CREATE a happy and stimulating environment within which Jesus Christ and the values of the Gospels are at the core.
  • ENABLE the children to feel confident in their faith, to be prepared to take a responsible and active role in society and to be aware of the needs of others.
