School Improvement Fund
Since September 2001 the part of the School Fund financed by contributions from parents has been replaced by the School Improvement Fund organised and run by the Governing Body.
All parents are encouraged to contribute through the ‘Gift Aid’ scheme by standing order. The suggested sum is £3.90 per month (£5.00 to school after tax relief is claimed) paid directly into the (SIF) account. The Headteacher or school are not aware of who contributes but fully support the fund.
The Fund is used for 3 main purposes: -
- To repay provisions made by Parishes for school building work;
- To fund the 15% liability of Governors for future building projects – large and small; and,
- To support the school in purchasing equipment and resources. (This part replaces the old School Fund function)
You may be asked to contribute other small sums of money during your child’s time at Regina Coeli and a request will come directly from the school with an explanation.
