The school, which has strong Catholic tradition, serves four main parishes within South Croydon and Selsdon.  It was established in 1953 and the extensive buildings and grounds comprise a mixture of older and newer structures.  Kendra Hall was the former family home of Allders of Croydon and the main house currently houses year 6, year 2, school library, computer suite (15 networked machines), medical room, offices, staffroom, conference room and Headteacher’s study.  Newer accommodation houses years’ reception, year 1, year 3, year 4 and year 5 are in our newest block opening in 1995.  The school has now completed its new Performing Arts Centre, entrance area and school offices and this now gives the school excellent facilities going into the 21st Century with an annual plan for refurbishment.  Re-roofing has been completed on all our flat roofs in recent years.

In November 2006 and March 2007 the school was inspected under Ofsted and the Archdiocese of Southwark under Section 5 and 48 of the Schools Inspection Act.  The final report recognised the strengths of the school and confirms it as a very good school with some outstanding features, committed, hardworking staff, good teaching, and well behaved pupils and above average standards.  A copy of the summary report is available from the school or on the school website.  In March 2001 the school received a School Achievement Award from the DfES and a second School Achievement Award in March 2002.  We were granted Investors in People in December 2002.

Our exciting new Outdoor Learning Project was completed in October 2008.  This was funded by the Government, Parents and Friends Association, The Governing Body and through donations.  The Project has transformed the outdoor learning opportunities for all the pupils.

If you child is admitted to Regina Coeli School they will join a happy and hard –working school community with a very active and successful Parent and Friends Association. The school is fully committed to raising achievement and has clear plan expressed through the School Development Plan.
