School Lunches / Milk

Initial Catering provides cooked lunches within school.  A good choice of menu is provided and parents receive an advance menu.  The cost of hot lunches is presently £7.00 weekly.   As it is difficult to plan on a daily basis parents are asked to book hot lunches at least weekly by sending the appropriate payment into school on a Monday.  A dinner register is taken in class each morning and you are not charged if your child is absent.

Children who do not have cooked lunches bring a packed lunch.  All lunches are eaten in the hall.  Mid-Day Meals Supervisors are responsible for the organisation of the lunch break.  The Headteacher and / or Deputy Headteacher are also on duty and have ultimate responsibility for discipline and good order.  In the unlikely event of persistent misbehaviour of pupils parents will be contacted and, if necessary, pupils will be required to eat off the premises with their parents.  This is to ensure the safety of all children.

Milk is available to all children on a subsidised basis and is free to under-5s.  Orders are placed directly by parents with Cool Milk at school.  Order forms are available from the office.
